Antik kentin ve Türkiye'nin özellikleri nelerdir? Türkiye'de gezilecek antik kentler hangi şehirde bulunuyor? 

Türkiye çağlar boyunca çok farklı medeniyetlere ev sahipliği yapmıştır. Anadolu kentlerinde birçok medeniyetin izlerini ve eserlerini rahatlıkla bulup gezmek mümkündür. Antik kentlerin yanı sıra kaya mezarları , mağaralar , taş köprüler , Hitit, Roma, Bizans,  Selçuklu ve Osmanlı yüzyıllarına ait birçok çarpıcı eser dikkat çekecek kadar güzel ...

Her yıl milyonlarca kişinin ziyaret ettiği yerler arasında yer alan birçok antik kent, görenleri büyülüyor. Yoğun olarak Ege ve Akdeniz Bölgelerinde yer alan antik kentlere olan ilgi her geçen gün artmaktadır. Kazılar sonucunda ortaya çıkarılan antik yapılar Unesco miras listesine dahil edilerek gelecek nesillere ulaşmak için önemli adımlar atılıyor.

Türkiye'nin aydınlatıcı geçmişinin arasında yer alan en önemli merkezler Bergama, Assos, Truva, Kültepe Alacahöyük, Çatalhöyük, Sardeis, Milet, Dara, Perge, Side, Hierapolis, Anavarza antik kenti öne çıkıyor.

Antik çağlardan günümüze ulaşan binlerce yıllık kentsel özelliklere sahip tarihi kültür kalıntıları genel olarak "Antik Kent" olarak anılır   . Belli bir dönemi çağrıştıran, o dönemde kullanılmış, maddi ve manevi bir değeri ifade eden ve bugüne kadar ayakta kalan değerli eserler antika olarak   adlandırılır .

Türkiye'nin Antik Kentleri 

1. Efes Antik Kenti l İZMİR

The 4,000-year-old Ephesus Ancient City, near the Selçuk district of Izmir, is one of the most interesting tourist attractions with its churches, bazaars, caves and fountains. Ephesus is one of those places fortunate entered on the UNESCO List in 2015 from Turkey.  

The ancient city is the place where many famous people in the world of science and art have grown up and stayed. 2. Assos Ancient City l ÇANAKKALE

Çanakkale'nin 87 km güneyinde Ayvacık'a bağlı antik kalıntılarla dolu tarihi ve turistik bir beldedir. Athena tapınağı MÖ 6. yüzyılda inşa edilmiştir. Bugün "Behramkale" adıyla da anılmaktadır.

Denize doğru inerken agoralar ve bir tiyatro binası var. Assos Antik Kenti, Soktates'in yaşadığı ve ilk felsefe okulunun kurulduğu yer olması nedeniyle dikkat çekicidir.

3. Troy Ancient City l ÇANAKKALE

Troya Antik Kenti, birçok farklı milletten turist ve gezginlerin uğrak yeri olan önemli kültürel miraslardan biridir.

İkonik Truva Atı ile ilgili efsanevi anlatımıyla zenginleştirilmiş antik kentin kalıntılarının ardında derin bir tarih yatıyor.

Troy is a residential area where many cities have been built on top of each other throughout history. It was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1998. Excavations that started in 1881 still continue today.

4. Perge Ancient City l ANTALYA

Perge, an ancient city in Antalya-Serik, is an important relic from the Hellenistic Period and has survived until today. Large baths and fountains, towers, gates and city walls still exist in the ancient city.

One of its ruins, the theater has a capacity of 12,000 spectators. Artemis, the goddess of the moon, has a separate place in Perge. Artemis was accepted as the chief goddess of this place.

5. Side Apollo Temple l ANTALYA

Side Apollon Temple, located in Side, Antalya and belonging to the Roman Period, has a remarkable architecture.

The temple was dedicated to Apollo, the god of light, beauty and art, one of the chief gods of the city of Side, and the building was restored between 1982 and 1990 and its damage over the years was eliminated.

6. Tripolis Ancient City l DENİZLİ

The ancient city estimated to have been founded in the Lydian period;  Its theater, bath, city building, castle and walls, necropolis ruins will make you take a historical journey back to ancient times.

The ancient city   is also called Apollonia in some places  .

7. Hierapolis Ancient City l DENİZLİ

Pamukkale'deki Hierapolis Antik Kenti'nin Bergama Kralı II. Eumenes tarafından BC. II. YY. Başlangıçta kurulduğu tahmin edilmektedir.

Adını Pergamon Medeniyeti'nin kurucusu Telephos'un eşi Amazonlar Kraliçesi Hiare'den aldığı tahmin edilmektedir. Hierapolis Antik Kenti de tarihte arıtma amacıyla yeraltı suyu (Pamukkale Travertenleri) ile kullanılmıştır.

Hierapolis Antik Kenti'nin giriş kapısına oyulmuş Medusa figürü, Tanrıça Medusa'dan korunmak için yapılmıştır. Antik kentte yer alan UNESCO Dünya Miras Listesi , Türkiye'nin en önemli kültür varlıkları arasında yer almaktadır.

8. Sart Ancient City l MANİSA

After seeing the small churches, shops, Artemis temple, synagogue and gold refining house located in the ancient city of Sart, where local and foreign tourists show great interest,  you will look at history from a different perspective.

The ancient city where excavations continue; It is located within the borders of Sart Town in Salihli District of Manisa Province and is the capital of the Lydian kingdom.

9.Anavarza Ancient City l ADANA

Anavarza Ancient City,  located in the Kozan district of  Adana  , is one of the most important centers of the Çukurova region  .

Anavarza, geçmişte Anazarba, Aynızarba, Anazarbos olarak adlandırılmıştır. Anavarza Antik Kenti'nin en önemli kalıntıları arasında  surlar, sütunlu yol, kilise ve hamam yer alıyor  . Özellikle Anavarza Kalesi en çok ziyaret edilen kültürel miras alanlarından biridir.

Antik Kent, kalıntılarının her birinde yaşamın izleriyle size farklı bir tarihi yolculuk sunuyor. 

10. Hadrianapolis Ancient City l KARABÜK

The  Hadrianapolis Ancient City, located in the Eskipazar district of Karabük  , includes the villages of Budaklar, Büyükyaylalar, Çaylı and Beytarla on Asartepe.

The city, whose foundation date coincides with the 320s BC, is one of the important centers of the Hellenistic and Roman Periods. Inside the ancient city; The ruins of churches, walls, baths, tunnels, cellars, mosaics with figures of women, men, animals and fruits can be seen.

11. Konuralp Ancient City l DÜZCE 

Konuralp town is 6 km from Düzce. away. There is an ancient city within the area declared as an archaeological site. One of the most important ruins showing Konuralp's wealth is its theater.

In the area where excavations continue, there is a horse-drawn gate, city walls, aqueducts, Konuralp Museum and historical houses.  

12. Santa l GÜMÜŞHANE

Smoke and fog will not be missing from Santan, an old settlement with about 300 houses. In the Black Sea region, there is no other four-season residential area at this altitude. 

13. Ani Ancient City l KARS

The Ancient City of Ani, where artifacts symbolizing different civilizations, are located in Kars, is one of the most attractive tourism centers. In 2016,  the UNESCO heritage of civilization  entered the list, one of the few works in Turkey .. foundation of Ani city dates back to 350-300 BC years.

Another slope of Arpaçay, which passes right next to Ani, is Armenia. The place where mosques, churches, caravanserais and monasteries belonging to different civilizations are located is exactly according to history lovers ... When the  Seljuk sultan Alparslan captured the city from the Armenians in 1064, he was given the title of "father of the conqueror" by the Abbasid caliph.

Ani cathedral has been turned into a mosque of conquest. 45 km from the center of Kars. The monuments at a distance are near the village of Ocaklı on the banks of the Arpaçay river.

15. Zeugma Ancient City l GAZİANTEP

The cultural area in Şehitkâmil district is home to one of the most important museums in the world in terms of both its structural features and the artifacts it contains. Zeugma, one of the important trade centers of the region, is known for its world-famous mosaics, especially from the Roman period.
Opened in 2011, the museum can be reached easily from all over the city by public transportation. Thousands of people visit the museum, which is very effective in the world recognition of Gaziantep.

16. Kültepe Archaeological Site l KAYSERİ

Kayser the  city center 21 kilometers from the Kültepe, Karahöyük is located near the village is in the limelight today as in the past.

17. Dara Ancient City l MARDIN

Dara, one of the most important ancient cities of Upper Mesopotamia, is located in Oğuz village30 km southeast of Mardin. Although it is not known when the city was founded,  Persian king lll. It is estimated that it was founded by Darius and got its name from there.

18. Bodrum Antique Theater

One of the most important monumental works of Bodrum to our day is Bodrum theater. The theater is leaning on the southern slope of Göktepe in accordance with the ancient tradition.

As in almost every theater, Bodrum theater consists of three main sections. These are the stage building, half-round, sitting area. This theater is one of the oldest theaters in Anatolia.

19. Çatalhöyük Ancient City l Konya

İnsanlık tarihi açısından büyük önem taşıyan Çatalhöyük, Anadolu'nun ilk yerleşim yerlerinden biri olması nedeniyle mutlaka görülmesi gereken yerlerden biridir.  Tarihin en önemli merkezlerinden birine tanıklık etme serüveni sizi yaklaşık 9000 yıl öncesine götürür.

İnsanoğlunun ilk yerleşim ve konaklama biçimleri ve ev mimarisi özellikleri Çatalhöyük Neolitik Kenti'nde ortaya çıkar. Çatalhöyük Neolitik Kenti de 2012 yılından beri UNESCO Dünya Miras Listesi'nde yer almaktadır.

20. Termessos Ancient City l Antalya

Termessos Antik Kenti , Antalya'nın 30 kilometre kuzeybatısında, Güllük Dağı'nın tepesinde 1050 metre yükseklikte bir plato üzerine kurulmuştur .

The ruins of Termessos, one of the oldest settlements in Anatolia, are located in the national park area. There are red pine forests, endangered species such as fallow deer, rare trucks and valleys in the national park area.

21. Sagalassos Ancient City l Burdur

Known as Pisidia in ancient times, the area is extremely well preserved with its monumental structures. With its thousand years of ceramic production, Sagalassos is regarded as the longest ceramic production center in ancient times.

Structures that form the urban texture of the monumental center such as the Roman Bath, Agora fountains, Hadrian's Fountain, the Late Hellenistic Fountain, the Neon Library, Agora shops, Pillared Street, Bouleuterion, Heroon, Antonines Fountain, Makellum and Odeion have been found in a very well preserved condition.

22. Aigai Ancient City l Manisa

Aigai, known as Nemrut Kale within the borders of Köseler Village of Manisa center, is one of the twelve Aiol cities mentioned by Herodotus. Some of the walls surrounding the city are still standing.

Remains of the agora, theater, stadium, parliament building and temples are evident.

23. Olba Ancient City l Mersin

The city, which was the center of the Olba Kingdom and an important trade city during the Hellenistic Period, also became an important religious center.

In Olba, 4 km east of Uzuncaburç town of Silifke district  ; There are large church ruins, many small churches on the acropolis and aqueduct monastery ruins and an ancient fountain. 

24.Aphrodisias Ancient City l Aydın

Aydin 's Karacasu ancient city in the district, is one of Turkey's most important archaeological site with well-preserved monumental structures.

Aphrodisias Ancient City is one of the settlements that best reflects the Greek-Roman architecture and urban characteristics in Anatolia. The ancient city  was able to enter Turkey civilization to the UNESCO heritage list in 2017.

The Temple of Aphrodite was built in the 3rd century, and the city here was built in the 4th century. In the Archaeological City of Aphrodisias, besides the temples, there is a theater, meeting place and two baths.

25. Aizanoi Ancient City l Kütahya

The city, which received the title of Second Ephesus, is located in Çavdarhisar district, 48 kilometers from Kütahya city ​​center.

The famous Temple of Zeus, the world's first stock exchange structure and the world's first stadium-theater await you. The traces of the first Bronze Age were found during the excavations in Aizanoi Ancient City.

Having an important history, the city attracts great attention by local and foreign tourists throughout the year.

26. Bergama Ancient City l Izmir

 

Bergama (Pergamon), the capital of the Kingdom of Pergamon, is one of the oldest cities of Anatolia . Bergama, one of the most strategic cities of the Antiquity  It took its place in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2015.

28. Kibyra Ancient City l Burdur

Gölhisar ilçesine bağlı Kibyra'da bulunan, 12-13 bin kişilik kapasitesi ile Antik Anadolu'nun en görkemli stadyumu, bazilika, agora, hamam, spor salonu, meclis binası, tiyatro ve parlamento binası, planlı anıt mezar, yuvarlak kuleli kemer bulunmaktadır. ve su yolları.
