The work, one of Mimar Sinan's masterpieces, is like the crown of the city in  Edirne  . Selimiye Mosque, which is considered the pinnacle of the single-domed structures in the world, is a work of Mimar Sinan's mastery period. It is also the pinnacle of Ottoman-Turkish architecture.

The historical mosque, which can be seen from all over the city , was built between 1569 and 1575 during the reign of Selim II. The tiles, lines, marbles and embroidery inside are all separate works of art.

Edirne Selimiye Mosque Complex, one of Turkey's most important cultural heritages,   was included in the UNESCO World Heritage list in 2011.

There are five towers, the highest of which is the French tower, the English, Italian, German towers and the Yılanlı tower. The parts of the castle other than the eastern wall were reinforced with double body walls. The castle is currently used as  the Underwater Archeology Museum  .

While Karagöl in Borçka is considered a nature park, the lake in Şavşat is registered as "  Karagöl Sahara National Park ".

You also have the chance to camp   along with accommodation in the   park  area in Şavşat. There are many villages and plateaus around Karagöl that preserve their naturalness.

The houses in the villages are two-three storey buildings built using the passing technique... There is a very long walking route around it.   In fact, it is possible to come across a medieval monastery carved out of rock, after an hour and a half walk from Lower Koyunlu Village.

Ağrı - 5 km from Doğubeyazıt. Ishakpaşa Palace with 116 rooms, built on steep rocks in the distance; It appears as a structure combining Turkestan, Persian, Seljuk and Ottoman architectural features.

It is estimated that the construction of the palace, which was completed in 1789 by İshak Pasha, the son of the Ottoman vizier Hasan Pasha, at the end of the 18th century, took a century. The mosque between the Harem and Selamlik apartments seems to dominate the entire palace and even the plain with its dome and minaret.   The palace, which combines baroque and rococo styles in architecture, fascinates those who see it.

This is a palace known as the world's first heated structure.

15. Kasımiye Madrasa l Mardin

Kasımiye Madrasah   started to be built during the Artukoğlu period; It was completed in 1469 by the Akkoyunlu ruler Sultan Kasım.    The large iwan in the cloistered courtyard is connected to the pool in the middle by canals with fountains. It is in the form of a social complex with a two-storey madrasa, mosque and tomb on two terraces.   There are symbols of astronomy and medical science on the walls of the madrasa.

The madrasah, which is eye-catching with its exterior and interior architecture, bears traces of the times it was built... There is also a rumor about Kasımiye Madrasa.   They say; Kasım Pasha was murdered here. Kasım Pasha's sister, on the other hand, laments and rubs her brother's bloody shirt on the walls of the madrasah. Traces of blood are still visible on the walls of the madrasah.

20. Divriği Grand Mosque and Hospital l Sivas

This magnificent monument, which fascinates those who see it, has been described with expressions such as "The miracle of Divriği" and "The Alhambra of Anatolia". The building, located in the Divriği district of Sivas , attracts attention with its unique stone carvings; It consists of a mosque, hospital and tomb.

The mosque was built by Ahmet Şah, the son of Süleyman Şah, one of the Mengücek Beys; Darüşşifa was built by his wife Melike Turan Melek.  The architect of the building complex, which was started in 1228 and completed in 1243, is Ahlatlı Hürrem Şah.

 

Evliya Çelebi described the work, which was included in the " World Cultural Heritage " list   by  UNESCO  in 1985,  as follows in the 17th century: "In its praise, tongues are barren and pens are broken."   

 

21. Martyrs' Monument l Çanakkale

The monument, one of the most important structures of Çanakkale ; It is located on Hisarlık Hill in front of Morto Bay on the Gallipoli Peninsula.

The Çanakkale Martyrs' Monument, built in memory of the Turkish soldiers who lost their lives in the Gallipoli Wars during World War I, consists of four legs and a dome. The foundation of the monument, which is 41.7 meters high, was laid in 1954 and opened to visitors in 1960.

When viewed from a distance, you will see an image shaped like Mehmetçik's letter "M". In the hall of honor of the Çanakkale Martyrs' Monument, where the Turkish flag is engraved in mosaic on the ceiling, there is a sarcophagus stone with a quatrain from Mehmet Akif Ersoy's poem "Çanakkale Martyrs" on it.

30. Mevlana Museum and Tomb l Konya

The place, which turned into a large social complex with the additions made during the Ottoman period, continued its function as a dervish lodge until the closure of the lodges. It was opened in 1927 under the name  "Konya Asar-ı Atîka Museum".

It was reorganized in 1954 and its name was  "Mevlana Museum"   . The museum contains the tomb of Mevlana, his personal belongings, as well as special works related to Mevlevi culture and Sufism.
